For many reasons, I, born November 8,1960, in south Georgia, USA, could not know, I, who have lived all his life in the South, would move from Florida to Maine, deep south to far northeast, and end up on a mountain in worship, tears and laughter, December 19.2018. Why? How? Who can say? No one needs to know. Part of the adventure is not needing or wanting to know why or how, simply surrendering and celebrating how Mystery shows up, and in the most surprising places and ways how Way leads to Way.

And, Life, somehow converged in many, potentially infinite ways, in a house, with a Joe and a Vicky, devout Christians, and an empty chair to welcome to table what many call the Holy Spirit. I happened to be there, too, as a pastor of their little church. Why? How? Who can say? No one needs to know.

Yet, when we are humble enough not-to-know, we are shown Truth we can never know, not in thought, only in heart. Even that knowing is open-ended, eternally-so, for knowing leads to knowing. We see and appreciate form as a means to this knowing, but learn, by frustration, that to try to explain this, depending on thought, images, and words, is impossible. We are led into Silence, the Silence of God. We learn that anywhere, a veil might open, that anywhere can be a Temple, a sanctum of Love, deeply-known and supremely-felt knowledge of Grace both concealed and revealed in one moment. Yet, when such a veil closes, we know Life has gone nowhere, even as we did not need to come from anywhere. In this pathless Path, we walk, with Grace, in a respectful, awe-inspiring Communion, wherein our lives become a single rite of worship, neither religious nor irreligious. And, we come to know, too, that we ourselves have, by responding to the welcome of Grace to be welcomed by us, means of Grace, icons of Truth, our bodies themselves, and our lives themselves, Sanctuaries inviting others to the wonder of it all. To say "Yes" to Life, indeed, is to become "Yes" with Life. There is only one Yes, only one Unveiling leading to lives of gratitude for the gifts and reverence for the the Giver.
